The General Anaya, a former gunboat, rests on the seabed at a depth of 24 meters (82 ft) and has become an artificial reef teeming with life. Diving here is an exciting experience, as you can see corals, sponges, groupers, barracudas, and with luck, even Eagle Rays (seasonally) exploring the structure. Deep reefs such as Grampin, Punta Negra, and No Name, with depths ranging from 15 to 17 meters (50 ft), offer spectacular underwater landscapes with walls covered in corals, large rock formations, and strong currents that attract pelagic species. These sites are ideal for advanced divers seeking an experience with diverse marine life. The main attraction of diving in the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef in the world, is its incomparable biodiversity. Here, you will find vibrant ecosystems full of corals, tropical fish, and migratory species, making every dive an unforgettable adventure.
